AKC obedience and rally events celebrate the bond between handlers and their dogs through teamwork and training. In obedience competitions, dogs perform tasks like heeling, staying, and retrieving, showcasing discipline and responsiveness.
Rally offers a more relaxed atmosphere where teams follow a course with signs, fostering interaction between handler and dog. Both activities encourage good behavior and training, suitable for dogs of all breeds and skill levels.
NWAKC has joined together with the Natural State Golden Retriever Club to offer a total of FIVE obedience trials and FIVE rally trials in May of 2026- new date, new venue, more events, sparkly ribbons! It’ll be a great time!
